DRAFT

The Name of MY  First Book…….(unless I come up with one, that I like more) is ……

Tell Me Why I Now Love Mondays!
(At least, most of the time 😊)

Here is an overview of
MY Approach to Sharing MY FIRST draft of MY FIRST book with YOU:

O.K. WHAT AM I DOING BY SHARING IT LIKE THIS?
(I am not 100% sure myself, but I am going to find out because I am just doing it! 😊)

I love writing blogs and sharing them. But, for some reason, I am finding it tougher to write my first book, despite being equally excited to share it. I am hoping that by sharing my book about my lessons learned from my HALFTIME journey of transition with others, I might inspire others to, either start their own journey of midlife transition, or, to maintain their momentum, if they have already begun one.  The journey does not have to be painful or hard. In my case, it was one of the most enjoyable periods of my life. So, why the occasional writers block with the Book vs. the Blogs? I have a rough first draft of the book but I am having trouble taking it from there. What is stopping me?

My answer? Who cares! Just pretend each Book Chapter is a Blog, finish writing it and share it. Before you know it, the whole journey and story will be shared. So, that is what I am planning to do. Between now, Monday December 18, 2017 and Monday January 22, 2018 (my 53rd birthday), I plan on sharing all 28 Chapters via LinkedIn and Facebook. One Chapter (a.k.a. Blog) at a time. They will still be DRAFT but at least I am getting them out there. I can finalize and edit them later on.

As I share them, I will post each one of them to my website. That way, you can follow the story by reading any, and all, of the Chapters that may be of interest, and hopefully of inspiration, to YOU.

WHAT IS MY BOOK OF HALFTIME TRANSITION ABOUT?

Ever heard the term midlife crisis? I am pretty sure that I just went through mine. It was a bit of an emotional roller coaster ride. Lots of momentum gained on the way down which resulted in my bouts with Clinical Depression. Functional Alcoholism, Obesity, and Social Isolation. Then, lots of momentum, and results of a much more enjoyable kind, on the way back up. Before I knew it, I had transitioned from having given up on life to cherishing life, and especially, all of the people who are part of that life, including me.

How did I make that change? What made me decide to make that change in the first place? How did I maintain, what eventually became, a whole lot of changes? Those are some of the questions that I am exploring and sharing via my book. I am sharing my journey and story with YOU. Emotions and all. YES! A DUDE sharing his EMOTIONS! It took me a while to share my emotions, a big part of my transition, but better late than never. 😊

WANT TO READ ONE CHAPTER? OR MORE?

I am posting each chapter to my website as I share them.
In the blog section for now.
Soon to reside in a new book section.
My First book (and hopefully not last) section. 😊
The book chapter index listing all 28 chapters is also on my website.
